A highly detailed sci-fi reactor core prop inspired by General Fusion’s magnetized target fusion reactor design, this model recreates a concept version of a real-world clean energy prototype.
Modeled in 3DS Max, UVs were laid out using a 6-tile UDIM setup for clean texel distribution. Textured in Substance Painter with custom masks and smart materials to add realistic metal wear, rust, and grime. Rendered in Blender with wireframe overlay and PBR lighting. I used Photoshop for editing my renders.
The asset poly count is 300k tris, focused on delivering cinematic detail while keeping the mesh clean and structured.
This conceptual fusion reactor uses multiple plasma injectors and synchronized pistons to compress plasma into a fusion-ready state inside the core chamber. The reinforced stand supports its weight and absorbs mechanical stress from the piston impact bursts. Built for heavy industrial energy output in a sci-fi setting.
